About the Furman Trumpet Studio

The Furman Trumpet Studio is comprised of a dynamic collection of students across the campus of Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. Under the direction of Dr. Buddy Deshler, typical activities of a Furman Trumpet Studio member include weekly lessons, weekly studio class, trumpet ensemble, and a large music ensemble such as Furman Jazz Ensemble, Furman Symphony Orchestra, Paladin Regiment Marching Band, and Furman Symphonic Band. Additional activities could include courses such as Literature of the Trumpet, Chamber Music, Jazz Improv, and small ensembles like Jazz Combo, Brass Quintet, and Basketball Pep Band.
